History

With over a year of real time past since the start of the LP, it can become hard to keep track of what happened when. This page will attempt to order all significant events per in-game year, with links to relevant BGreman updates and wiki pages.

Events that should be noted on this page are ship launches, completed research and so forth, as well as events that define that period of time.

Pre-game events

All events until March 2012 happened as in real life, with the exception of Belnar activity.

2025

January

Game start, first set of UNEC councillors elected: Lord Windy, Ynkling, Jimmy4400nav, Puistokemisti and Triskelli

Most of the modern UN institutions get into gear this month. First UNIN tour of duty starts, etc.

6th january 2025: McKiernan Transport Corporation founded.

February

Nothing of note happened this month.

March

6th March, 2025: Dr. Slaan completes work on Trans-Newtonian Technology.

29th March 2025: The Federation launches its first TNE spacecraft, FEK Sledopeyt. Later discovered to have no function but moving personnel around. It begins a highly televised tour of the Solar System, visiting each body in turn.

April

Nothing of note happened this month.

June

22nd June 2025: The Federation launches a second ship of the same class. The first has now visited the Moon, Mars, an asteroid and Jupiter. The second departs for Saturn.

July

14th July 2025: Dr. MagicBoots completes work Duranium Armour.

19th July, 2025: A Federation espionage ring is broken by UN counterintelligence agents, no agents were taken alive.

August

3rd August 2025: Dr. MagicBoots completes work on the 2500C-E10 Conventional Rocket Engine.

17th August 2025: Dr. Slaan completes work on Pressurised Water Reactors, on the same day, Dr. Barrelfox completes work on Geological Survey Sensors

September

25th September 2025: Dr. Barrelfox completes work on the LYP-1A Prospector Geological Survey Probe.

October

29th October 2025: The Federation launches a survey probe to Luna, they will continue to survey the inner system via Earth-launched probes.

November

18th November 2025: The UN expands its military academy to level 2.

26th November 2025: Dr. Barrelfox completes work on the LBN-2A Gold Rush Geosurvey Carrier Drone.

December

19th December 2025: The UN launches its first void vessel, the cargo ship UNMS York, she prompty begins ferrying state-built infrastructure to Luna.

22nd December 2025: The UN launches a survey probe to Luna. Similar to the Federation, they will continue to explore the inner system by this method.

2026

January

Nothing of note happened this month.

February 5th February 2026: FEK Sledopeyt is spotted briefly returning to Earth.

March

30th March 2026: UN Geological Survey team is deployed to Luna, and the colony on the same body is officially designated Tranquility.

April

Nothing of note happened this month.

May

7th May 2026: The enormously significant discovery of the Belnar ruins on Mars was made this day by automated survey probes over the red planet.

10th May 2026: A hastily-assembled UN xenoarchelogy team boards UNMS York and sets off for Mars.

11th May 2026: FEK Palomnik is spotted arriving at Earth and quickly departing for Mars, presumably also carrying a xenoarcheology team.

16th May 2026: McKiernan Transport Corporation launches the world's first privately owned TNE-spacecraft.

22nd May 2026: Dr. Slaan completes work on Nuclear Thermal Engine Technology.
