United Nations Executive Council

UNEC, the United Nations Executive Council, is the most powerful assembly within the UN, consisting of the leaders of UNIN, UNSA, UNIEB, UNRL, UNCAO, and UNFRAD. A unanimous agreement by UNEC is- provided it's not unpopular enough to get them voted out of office on the spot- law. It requires UNEC approval to sign international treaties, initiate a multi-department project, or get anything else of note done.

Maintains relations with civilian corporations based on UN colonies

Responsible for groundside trade and wealth generation

Manages the commercial fleet of the UN

Responsible for UN commercial yards

Handles distribution and operation of UN mining ops

Controls UNGS teams and may direct detached geosurvey ships

Maintains void based civilian operations and trade

UNSA

Directs the research of the UN

Controls UN Xeno Teams

May direct detached UN Engineers in the exploitation of alien ruins

UNIN

Directs the defense of the UN

Responsible for naval shipyards and naval operations

Oversees the UNGF and troop transport

History

On the 15th of June 2031, following the Second Saturn Crisis and the Lunar Unrest, UNEC voted to expand itself by giving UNCAO a council seat and forming the new department of UNFRAD.

On the 20th of April 2035, following the retirement of UNDOT councillor DagPenge, UNEC voted to merge the seat into UNRA, creating UNRL. A chairman position was created as an administrative and tiebreaker seat.
