The United Nations Interplanetary Navy or UNIN for short, is the department under UN tasked with overseeing the space-based defence forces of the UN. It also oversees ground forces donated by various member states.

History

Initially interplanetary in name only, UNIN was formed as a unified command structure for the UN military forces, at least those donated to the UN itself by its member states. Officially beginning its existance on the 1st of January, 2025, it covered an army of pre-TNE ground forces, 100 pre-TNE missile silos, one 1000-ton military shipyard, and nothing else.

Responsibilities

UNIN is responsible for every joint UN military undertaking. The only military-related activities not directly under the control of UNIN is facility construction and component pre-fabbing by UNIEB, and R&D by UNSA, from the moment a given piece of material enters a shipyard or ground force training center, to the moment it is lost in action or scrapped, its every move is made under the command of a UNIN officer.
