War Plan Orange

War Plan Orange is the UNIN plan for neutralization of Cornucopian military assets, seizure of its territory, and installing a more UN friendly democratic government in place of the current dictatorship. It consists of three main phases.

Phase 1: Operation Poisoned Bounty

UNFI and UNFRAD assets will work with UNIN to secure the cooperation of Cornucopian sponsor governments and infiltrate the FDC command structure to determine position and standing of FDC units. UNIN vessels will move into close proximity of 2 Pallas, UN ground troops will be prepared on Earth near Cornucopian holdings, and mobile infantry and interim government officials taken on board Transports in preparation. In addition, preparations should be made to strike while the Federation is otherwise occupied, in order to present FEAN with a fait accompli in Phase 3.

Phase 2: Operation Grand Fall

Covert teams move as one, attempting to take control of Cornucopian military assets in a bloodless coup, if possible, capture of TildeATH should be given priority. In the event that resistance is met, UNIN will take action. UNIN strikegroup near 2 Pallas/Cornucopian TGs will engage and mission kill any Cornucopian military vessel not seized by sympathetic agents, and UNIN ground forces will overrun and seize Cornucopian assets on Earth. UN will declare in favor of a provisional government made up of traditional Cornucopian powers sympathetic to our interests. With both naval and ground forces neutralized, TildeATH will be trapped with no recourse but to surrender.

Phase 3: Operation Golden Principle

With control of Cornucopia in UN hands, a friendly government will be installed and UN forces will withdraw. Discussions may be made at this time as to gifting of peacekeepers or military vessels to the new Cornucopian government. The return to neutral authority should placate FEAN, and all contracts not directly aggressive to the United Nations should be honored.
