The United Nations Department of Resource Acquisition [UNRA] is responsible for the surveying, prospecting and exploitation of terrestrial and gaseous bodies to produce resources needed to facilitate continued growth of the United Nations member states.

History

Founded in 2025, UNRA was initially overseen by Puistokemisti. On 24th March 2029, Puistokemisti stepped down as overseer and General Antares became the department head.

During the Macchu Picchu Conference of 2033, UNRA voted in favour of the transfer of 2 Pallas to Cornucopia. Yes on the sale of 7 of the 9 mining complexes from Titan to CONSOL (Infrastructure). Defers to the UNSA on tech. Implied no on money.

In 2034 UNRA was merged with UNDOT by unanimous vote of the UNEC to form UNRL, United Nations Department of Resources and Logistics.

Responsibilities

The UNRA oversees the mining efforts on terrestrial worlds, around gaseous worlds and on asteroid chunks. UNRA is in charge of prospecting new planetoids for minerals and is responsible for Geological Survey teams.

As of 2033 the Sol system has not been fully surveyed.
