UNS Panay

The Panay (DE-15) is a Samar-class destroyer.

She was laid down at Victoria Naval Yard on 15th September 2032 and commissioned for duty under the command of CMDR Yinette on the 6th of May 2033. After shakedown, she joined the 1st Cruiser Squadron stationed off Earth.

While assigned to the PHALANX Task Group, she sustained heavy damage during combat, although inflicting major damage against a Federation warship.

Panay was assigned to the PHALANX Task force not long after her commission on the 24th of May 2033, with orders to break the Federation Blockade of Mars.

On the 26th of May 2033, along with her sister ships Negros and Visayas, Panay chased down and helped destroy 3 Moskva class Federation corvettes. She critically damaged the FEK Ulan Bataar (Moskva-015) during the engagement with her compliment of "Mosquito" interceptor missiles. While she was rescuing the surviving crew from the destroyed Moskvas, Panay, along with the Negros was critically damaged by 4 missiles from a Federation Skory class cruiser suffering 60 crew casualties.
