A project to terraform the Sahara in order to win more support for the UN among African nations, particularly those unaligned with either the Federation or the UN.
After the West Africa Association pulled out of the Machu Piccu Conference, the UN re-focused on the effort in hopes of enticing the WAA to align with the UN[1].
Terraforming officially began on May 19th, 2034, as the Tunisian terraformer began releasing water vapor into the local atmosphere[2].
