Project EINHERJAR
Project EINHERJAR is a Bath Ironworks proposal to up gun and upgrade the UN destroyer fleet, these destroyers carry either 2x or 1,5x the amount of the cruse missile launchers the Berlin carries. However the vessels does rely on the sensor net of our current ships.
History:
First proposed by Bath Ironworks on the 28th July 2031, reactions where positive however Bath Ironworks did not know the the UN was close to a major breakthrough in missile tech. Therefore the proposal was received with great interest, although it is unlikely that it will be build as is.
Current progress:
Not approved due to to being proposed too close to a major breakthrough in missile tech.

Ah gentlemen, I thank you for allowing me to visit on short notice, I will try to be brief, I understand you have been inundated with proposals over the years.
- Rustling noises, papers sound like they're being shifted. A low hum sounds as a projector is started
As you know, the Federation Moskova fleet is still growing ever larger, and with the Skory's being deployed, the Federation has a potential counter for our Berlins. The Samar/Surigaos area good plug to close the parity and combat the Moskovas. However, with only five light missile tubes, our destroy escorts are always going to be combat light weights, and honestly, if the Federation's shifts can last through ha barrage and close on these boats, they're in trouble.
We need a greater weight of fire, but we really wont have the capacity for higher end warships for a number of years. So my boys and I have cooked up a little design that will help. We know having modular builds so the yard dogs don't have to spend lots of time with the retool is crucial, so we made these designed to work in accordance to that.
Our first ship is Cape Town destoryer. We updated the design a bit from that public skunkworks you have on the U.N website. Basically we feel that with a little more armour and engine power, you can have a speedy torpedo boat thagt can deliver double the number of cruize misiles the Berlin can:
Cape Town class Destroyer 3,350 tons 340 Crew 366.4 BP TCS 67 TH 160 EM 0 2388 km/s Armour 3-19 Shields 0-0 Sensors 1/1/0/0 Damage Control Rating 3 PPV 16 Maint Life 7.06 Years MSP 205 AFR 29% IFR 0.4% 1YR 7 5YR 108 Max Repair 32 MSP Magazine 128 Nuclear Pulse Engine E10 (4) Power 40 Fuel Use 100% Signature 40 Armour 0 Exp 5% Fuel Capacity 50,000 Litres Range 26.9 billion km (130 days at full power) Bofors SML-8 Mk. 1 Missile Launch Battery (2) Missile Size 8 Rate of Fire 240 Raytheon UN/SGM-7 "Oversight" Torpedo Director (1) Range 6.7m km Resolution 20 Raytheon SBM-5A "Hammer" Cruise Missile (16) Speed: 5,600 km/s End: 13.3m Range: 4.6m km WH: 0 Size: 8 TH: 18 / 11 / 5 Honeywell UN/SGS-4 "Warbler" Missile Warning Sensor (1) GPS 30 Range 1.5m km Resolution 1 Missile to hit chances are vs targets moving at 3000 km/s, 5000 km/s and 10,000 km/s This design is classed as a Military Vessel for maintenance purposes
Our second ship is the Saratoga, This lovely lady is capable of delivering a light missile broad side roughly one and a half times the size of the Berlin:
Saratoga class Destroyer 3,350 tons 325 Crew 378.4 BP TCS 67 TH 160 EM 0 2388 km/s Armour 3-19 Shields 0-0 Sensors 1/1/0/0 Damage Control Rating 2 PPV 14 Maint Life 5.82 Years MSP 141 AFR 44% IFR 0.6% 1YR 7 5YR 106 Max Repair 30 MSP Magazine 126 Nuclear Pulse Engine E10 (4) Power 40 Fuel Use 100% Signature 40 Armour 0 Exp 5% Fuel Capacity 50,000 Litres Range 26.9 billion km (130 days at full power) ATK SML-1 Mk. 1 Point Defense Launch Tube (14) Missile Size 1 Rate of Fire 30 Honeywell UN/SGM-3 "Aegis" Missile Defense Control (1) Range 3.0m km Resolution 1 MBDA SSM-6A "Hornet" Anti-Missile Missile (70) Speed: 11,200 km/s End: 13.3m Range: 9m km WH: 1 Size: 1 TH: 37 / 22 / 11 Honeywell UN/SGS-4 "Warbler" Missile Warning Sensor (1) GPS 30 Range 1.5m km Resolution 1 Raytheon UN/SGY-5 "Overwatch" Tracking Array (1) GPS 400 Range 4.5m km Resolution 20 Missile to hit chances are vs targets moving at 3000 km/s, 5000 km/s and 10,000 km/s This design is classed as a Military Vessel for maintenance purposes
This ships were created to serve primarily as supports for the main fleets, relying on their sensor data and nets for combat information. They can serve as a nice mid range vessel between a Berlin and the Samar/Surigao and is well within our range as we increase the capacities of our yards.
