Operation Rubicon

This operation was proposed by the IRCabal and presented by UN Department of Defense Director Innocent_Bystander as an alternative to Operation Phalanx upon the formal cancellation of Operation Red Queen[1]. Operation Rubicon was intended to defang the Federation void navy and recapture two UN troop transports being escorted to 24 Themis by the Federation Mars Fleet during the Mars Crisis.

Operational Planning

• Direct 1st Cruiser Squadron to rendezvous with 2nd Cruiser Squadron Innter Detachment in interplanetary space
• Engage the Federation Mars fleet, relying on our hornets for AMM duty if the Skory turns out to be missile-armed, relying on their range for offensive purposes otherwise.
• Hope we can take out the bulk of their fleet using the bulk of ours

Cancellation

This operation was deemed too risky in terms of potential UN losses and escalation of the conflict which became the First Solar War.
