FED003, is a solar system claimed by the Eurasian Federation, linked to FED002 by an ancient gated jump point.
On 10th October 2036 the Federation vessesls Medved/Moskva returned to Sol bringing news that their Gujarat survey vessel encountered a GIZA class Mind Linelayer gating the jump point from FED003 to FED002 on 1st October 2036.

Re: The Mind
Gentlemen, I'm afraid I have some disturbing news. As we noted in our recent brief, we recently discovered a jump point in Zhongguo leading to a system beyond (FED 002). Our survey of that system has already revealed a new, pre-gated jump point leading to a new system (FED 003), and a jump tender (Rosomakha) transited to perform initial surveys on 1st October. It immediately encountered a vessel matching the description of Giza performing jump stabilization on the FED 003 side of the rift. FED 002 is an extremely large system, so we may not have learned of this development for several more weeks had we not had another jump tender (Medved) transit into FED 002 a few days ago to refuel our gravitational survey vessels there. Medved received the update from the survey vessel Gujarat and immediately returned to the Sol jump point to relay this information on to us.
There are several salient points here. First, the Federation now has independent access to the Mind/Community. We will begin engaging in a full dialogue with the aliens shortly, and felt an obligation to reveal that fact to the UN. Second, the gate-building activities of the Mind/Community appears to be distributed across more than one ship. FED 003 is only two jumps from Sol, just as Hakahaka is. We will be implementing the same protocol for the protection of Sol with this vessel as we have agreed for the Hakahaka Giza.
We have not yet revealed this information to the other world actors, as we feel the need to fully digest it and come up with adjusted scenarios in the event of a two-pronged approach to Sol.
