+ | |||
+ | Survey Craft are being retasked with operations in the Thebes system to determine the point of origin for the MIND. This operation is code named BLOODHOUND. This is a high risk hazard assignment, and is classified Magenta. BLOODHOUND will be enacted in three phases.
+ | |||
+ | Phase 1: UNS Avalon, UNS El Dorado, and UNS Canela will begin preliminary grav-survey of the THEBES system. While present, ships will perform weekly data dumps to WATCHTOWER of all duty rosters, security data, and computer/sensor logs for analysis of possible MIND interference. This data will be compared to backups stored on WATCHTOWER and at Ragnarok Fleet Headquarters for any inconsistency.
+ | |||
+ | Phase 2: Upon completion of the next generation survey craft, UNS Carl Sagan, jump capable survey vessels will deploy and begin scouting systems detected by BLOODHOUND 1. Emphasis will be placed on gated jump points, and systems deemed likely to house MIND elements.
+ | |||
+ | Phase 3: Once a probable MIND jump path has been confirmed by BLOODHOUND 2, UNIN forward fleet elements will move in to secure the system for further survey and large scale military operations.

+ | Re: Additional Ordnance Production
+ | |||
+ | As we approach the end of our current missile production orders, UNIN has elected to extend production by the following amounts.
+ | |||
+ | 50% production - 750x Denel SSM-13A Harrier ASM
+ | 50% production - 300x MBDA SVM-6D Hornet-D Multipurpose Missile
+ | followed by | ||
+ | |||
+ | 50% production 150x Denel SSM-11B Eagle-B ASM
+ | |||
+ | Once Hornet and Eagle production is complete, that capacity will be redirected to completing the Harrier order.
+ | |||
+ | These missiles will be used to rearm after LABYRINTH and will see use into the future. Despite the fact that we will be developing a long range size 6 missile, we will still have use for Harriers. The shorter ranged Harrier missiles can be used by our cruisers and monitors for JP defense and provide a harder hitting alternative to the Albratross missile. They can also be used to partially arm Masada bases on Luna where they may see use against Federation targets. The Eagle will be the standard weapon of the Cape Town class well into NIKE, since the Cape Town fire control tops out at 20m km and is not likely to be refit.

+ | The activation of our Masada class bases on Luna and the realities of the trans-newtonian age have rendered our original ICBM bases incapable of performing their original mission of providing MAD. + | 1) Gravsurvey vessels, on leaving port, should immediately head to the nearest system (as expressed in kilometres) in which there is an unexplored jump point or unsurveyed points to begin exploration.
+ | |||
+ | 1a) On entering an unexplored system, gravsurvey vessels are to do flybys of potentially habitable worlds to verify their colonisation status. If the gravsurvey vessel is equipped with a thermal sensor, it is to approach to within a million kilometres of that system's primary to verify the presence of any other vessels in the vicinity, if the system contains any worlds at all.
+ | |||
+ | 2) On completing a survey of a given system, if a gravsurvey vessel still has adequate mission time available, it is to head through the nearest unexplored jump point and commence a new survey.
+ | |||
+ | 2a) If an unexplored jump point is not available, it is to head to the nearest system with an unexplored point or the nearest system with unsurveyed points, whichever is closer.
+ | |||
+ | 3) Geosurvey vessels, on leaving port, are to head to the nearest unsurveyed or partly unsurveyed system containing worlds of colony cost 3 or lower which has been verified as empty by a gravsurvey vessel and commence operations.
+ | |||
+ | 3a) If such a system is not currently available, vessels are to head to the nearest empty system with unsurveyed bodies larger than asteroids.
+ | |||
+ | 4) Geosurvey vessels are not to survey asteroids or comets except in systems earmarked for colonisation.
+ | |||
+ | 4a) An exception to this can be made if there are no currently available unsurveyed systems, at which point the vessel will commence surveying the nearest belt.

+ | 6) All survey vessels are to return to port when under 30% of their fuel capacity.

Subject: BLOODHOUND
Survey Craft are being retasked with operations in the Thebes system to determine the point of origin for the MIND. This operation is code named BLOODHOUND. This is a high risk hazard assignment, and is classified Magenta. BLOODHOUND will be enacted in three phases.
Phase 1: UNS Avalon, UNS El Dorado, and UNS Canela will begin preliminary grav-survey of the THEBES system.
Phase 2: Upon completion of the next generation survey craft, UNS Carl Sagan, jump capable survey vessels will deploy and begin scouting systems detected by BLOODHOUND 1. Emphasis will be placed on gated jump points, and systems deemed likely to house MIND elements.
Phase 3: Once a probable MIND jump path has been confirmed by BLOODHOUND 2, UNIN forward fleet elements will move in to secure the system for further survey and large scale military operations.

To: UNIN Ordnance Manufacturers From: BuOrd Re: Additional Ordnance Production
As we approach the end of our current missile production orders, UNIN has elected to extend production by the following amounts.
50% production - 750x Denel SSM-13A Harrier ASM 50% production - 300x MBDA SVM-6D Hornet-D Multipurpose Missile followed by
50% production 150x Denel SSM-11B Eagle-B ASM
Once Hornet and Eagle production is complete, that capacity will be redirected to completing the Harrier order.
These missiles will be used to rearm after LABYRINTH and will see use into the future.
To: Earth-Luna Defense Command From: UNIN, BuOrd Re: Missile Complexes
The activation of our Masada class bases on Luna and the realities of the trans-newtonian age have rendered our original ICBM bases incapable of performing their original mission of providing MAD. It is the opinion of UNIN that these bases will no longer be capable to providing sufficient fire support to aid in any conflict against Federation defenses or external threat, and are hereby decommissioned.
All ordnance currently in use by these bases is also to be decommissioned and scrapped.

Re: War Plan Gold/LABYRINTH
In order to deal with both the threat from Roanoke and secure Klondike-Kagayan, UNIN has elected to redeploy the fleet to make best use of our forces and bring appropriate weight to bear on each hostile power.
RADM Chadwick will transfer her flag to UNS Minsk.
The 4 Berlin IIMs will detach from THESEUS as TG RAMPART and continue toward Roanoke. At the same time, UNS Berlin and UNS Armstrong will depart Callisto at maximum speed and rendezvous with RAMPART at which point the whole formation will accelerate to maximum speed and take up positions 15m km at bearing 0 from the jump terminus with active on.
The remainder of THESEUS will reroute to the Klondike-Kagayan JP and resume Operation LABYRINTH according to the original schedule of operations.

NEW ORDERS AS OF 25 Sep 2037:
-All single lab projects are to continue as is.
-Once Rotenkian finishes Magazine feed tech he is to resume working on Missile agility 32.
-Once Scribbleykins finishes Active strength 16 he is to take one lab and begin work on Thermal sensor 6
-Scribbleykins 17 freed labs are to be transferred to CasinoV to work on Shipyard operations.
-To avoid delays in game progress any freed up lab capacity without a task specified is to be distributed amongst current projects with the projects with the most labs taking priority until the admin capacity of the leading scientist is maxed out, this continues until the freed capacity is all in use or all ongoing projects are at max capacity.
-As new labs complete construction or otherwise become available they are to be assigned to the project with the most labs currently assigned to it that has free admin capacity on its leading scientist.

UPDATED ORDERS 17 Jan 2037 (http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3474164&pagenumber=388#post436728353)
For Masada construction, it is easiest to simply post standing orders shipping the necessary minerals, pausing local industry and redirecting it to construction, and then switching back once the Masada is complete. UNIEB orders this to be done for the two Masada's to be shipped to and then built on Luna and the 1 for Callisto.

PRINCIPLES OF EXPLORATION
UNRL (commercial) ships are NOT to use these principles. They have been cancelled for UNRL. When left without any orders, please ask for guidance.
1) Gravsurvey vessels, on leaving port, should immediately head to the nearest system (as expressed in kilometres) in which there is an unexplored jump point or unsurveyed points to begin exploration.
1a) On entering an unexplored system, gravsurvey vessels are to do flybys of potentially habitable worlds to verify their colonisation status. If the gravsurvey vessel is equipped with a thermal sensor, it is to approach to within a million kilometres of that system's primary to verify the presence of any other vessels in the vicinity, if the system contains any worlds at all.
2) On completing a survey of a given system, if a gravsurvey vessel still has adequate mission time available, it is to head through the nearest unexplored jump point and commence a new survey.
2a) If an unexplored jump point is not available, it is to head to the nearest system with an unexplored point or the nearest system with unsurveyed points, whichever is closer.
3) Geosurvey vessels, on leaving port, are to head to the nearest unsurveyed or partly unsurveyed system containing worlds of colony cost 3 or lower which has been verified as empty by a gravsurvey vessel and commence operations.
3a) If such a system is not currently available, vessels are to head to the nearest empty system with unsurveyed bodies larger than asteroids.
4) Geosurvey vessels are not to survey asteroids or comets except in systems earmarked for colonisation.
4a) An exception to this can be made if there are no currently available unsurveyed systems, at which point the vessel will commence surveying the nearest belt.
5) On completion of a survey, a geosurvey vessel is to proceed as if it was leaving port from its present point.
6) All survey vessels are to return to port when under 30% of their fuel capacity.
7) Any of these principles can be overridden at any point by UNIN, UNRL, UNFRAD or UNCAO.
