It consists of numerous gas giants and their moons and, most notably, includes an Earh-like planet in the habitable zone. The planet, with an nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere and almost comfortable temperatures, is one of the top colonization prospects in the known universe.
An incident occurred slightly after the system's discovery in which the UN scout ship UNS Eratosthenes was destroyed near orbit of the Earth-like planet.
